Powertrain
The Jeep Compass is powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir 2 engine that offers 180 horsepower and a towing ability of 2,000 lbs. You can choose between a six-speed automatic transmission or a nine-speed automatic transmission. Every Jeep Compass engine also features Stop/Start technology which helped the Jeep Compass achieve Best-In-Class 4X4 fuel economy with 22 city/30 highway MPG. Every Jeep Compass comes standard with Select Terrain system to coordinate 12 vehicle systems for ideal handling in five different settings.
